It was attended by 113 staff members and conducted by professional trainers, sponsored by Water.org in collaboration with the Cambodia Microfinance Association.
Lack of access to clean water and sanitation facilities causes various diseases, affects the development of children, causes instability of the family economy, and sexual harassment of young girls and women. Aligned with the vision of the institution and sustainable development goals, CAMMA MFI is committed to providing clean water and sanitation solutions through WASH Loan provision to improve community well-being and financial stability in rural families.
CAMMA MFI collaborated with Water.org, an international organization based in the United States, in technical assistance and support in improving WASH Loan inclusivity to provide opportunities for Cambodians to receive clean water and sanitation facilities. As of February 2024, CAMMA MFI has 222 WASH Loan clients with loan disbursement amounts of approximately USD 150,000.
