CAMMA Promotes Fruit Trees Planting in Communities Through Tree Planting Activity

August 17, 2024 – CAMMA Microfinance Limited organized an activity to provide and plant 350 hardwood and fruit trees at Senteav Primary School on August 17, the CAMMA’s 14th anniversary.

Mr. Ly Chheang, acting CEO of CAMMA Microfinance Limited stated that the purpose of “My Fruitful Village” is to encourage the locals to plant fruit trees at home while educating students to preserve the natural environment in their community.

This tree planting activity was held at Veal Village, Srang Commune, Kong Pisei District, Kampong Speu Province with the presence of CAMMA’s acting CEO and staff, school principal, teachers, local authorities, and students, a total of 270 participants. This tree planting activity illustrates CAMMA’s social responsibility by fostering the planting of hardwood and fruit trees in the community to preserve the environment and mitigate climate change.

Besides the hardwood tree planting on the school campus, the CAMMA Management Team provided 300 fruit trees to student guardians and donated some equipment to the school: hoes, shovels, hods, watering tanks, trash cans, and hand sanitizers.

It is the third time that CAMMA organized a tree-planting activity and has planted 1,850 trees. Along with its commitment to social contribution, CAMMA contributes to enhancing client’s living standards and reducing the impact on the environment through environmental and social products: Green Loan and WASH Loan.
